The “Elvis” cupcake from Robicelli’s. I tried it for the first time at DeKalb Market a couple weekends ago: banana cupcake topped with a bacon-infused, peanut butter buttercream frosting and bacon bits. I nearly wept after I savored the last bite.
You should go try one. DeKalb Market is doing $1 mimosas again this weekend until 2 pm. Go get ‘em, tiger.

Should I feel bad that I ate half the pie and drank half the bottle of bourbon, or are congratulations in order? (Taken with picplz.)
Time Out says that the tacos al arabes from Ricos Tacos on 51st St and 5th Ave in Sunset Park are some of the best in NYC. I heartily agree. It is a hybrid of a classic Mexican taco and a gyro. Spit-fired pork wrapped in a flour tortilla slightly thicker than a regular tortilla but much thinner than a pita. Avocado hot sauce here is the bomb. Also strongly recommend the taco de lengua (tongue) and the carnitas. Delicioso.

Giant “Prima” seafood platter at Prima NYC (vs. “Strada” platter for two). The ceviche last night was mackerel with lemon and fennel salt - delicious.
